Judith Boyd has a beautiful well-modulated voice and is an ideal narrator of Ann Grainger's enjoyable books.

What a wonderful story full of interesting characters. And as for the narration, Judith Boyd, is just wonderful. Her beautiful voice carries the narrative and characters to a satisfying conclusion. Absolutely lovely piece of entertainment.

A ‘proper’ story

This is a good story with interesting, rounded characters told without too much vivid nastiess or gratuitous violence. There is also very little bad language. All of this means I enjoyed the book. Carole Boyd, the narrator, is simply excellent - clear, able to distinguish between characters, not too hurried but moving the story along at a good pace. Definitely one of the best actors around to read a story.
