About this listen

Jemima Pardon, a paramedic with a daft name and chronic asthma, has never had much in the way of good luck. The only things she attracts are traumatic jobs, and no one wants to work with her for long. But when Jem bumps into devil-may-care police officer Rosie Jones, her fortunes seem to be changing. Cari is the only author I know who can take a serious subject and throw in some northern humour.

Throw in a police officer Rosie and Jen a paramedic with asthma. Throw in lots of rain and missing children. A true classic.

I loved the book and the narrator did a stand up job with the narration. Not Cari Hunter’s usual style but it is full of snark, fun, sweet a set around a serious story line that still resonates.
