Summary

Fitting into the Old World isn't going very well for Boulder boundary witch Allison "Lex" Luther: she may have earned a place in a vampire's service, but now it seems as if every supernatural creature in town has found a reason to hate her. And when Lex and her partner are assigned to investigate the suspicious disappearance of two vampires during the night of the full moon, they find themselves with more questions than answers.

Was it murder...or mutiny?

The crusade for answers will lead Lex all over the Colorado Old World, from a prison cell for a broken werewolf to a haunted Denver brothel. And when Lex determines the responsible party, the hunt is just beginning: something has been awakened in Boulder, something as old and powerful as it is terrifying. Only the woman with death in her blood can stop what's coming.

interested & Captivated

I really enjoyed both these books.
The story was enjoyable all the way through and I can not
wait until the next one to come out.

You can not beat a bit of woman power, a little bit of everything, romance, fighting, friendship. with not too much and over the top. and not to much recapping over last book, which can be frustrating when you have read one and how to keep being told about what happened previously.
Well done
Bring on the next one x

Picked right up from the first book, brilliant

This story picks up right where the first finished and it just keeps on going at a pace. I loved it! Getting to know the characters more, the relationships that they are building and how Lex is finding out about her powers. The large overall story arc that is slowly being revealed. Brilliant stuff.

Kate Rudd is again a great narrator, and being the second book I was straight in knowing who was who without needing their names mentioned. Fabulous narrator.

What about Kate Rudd’s performance did you like?

Really enjoyed this book and the narrator

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

All of it. Especially that Lex is completely all about her niece Charlie and keeping her safe

So Much Better!!!

What did you like about this audiobook?

Overall I really enjoyed this book.

It like the rest of Mrs. Olson's work it is well paced, has great characters, rich world building, and over all is unique is a genre were things tend to bleed together.

The first book was good but it still left me with a "that could have been better" feeling. This one on the other hand I can say I enjoyed as much as the Scarlett series.

That being said, Mrs. Olson hit one of my bigger pet-peeves as she wrote Lex's trip to L.A. (were the Scarlett series takes place) in a side story. Had I not already read this story on Kindle Unlimited I would be fairly P.O.ed but Boundary Lines was good enough to make up for this. So those of you that are hoping to see the Lex and Scarlett team-up than this is not the book for you.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

No but it did remind me why I love urban fantasy.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

There are two thing I found wrong with Kate Rudd performance

One: She can be a little to very melodramatic, most of these moments are when Lex is distressed and make Lex sound more distressed than she might other wise.

Two: Her accent can be distracting naming in one character who is supposed to have a British accent sounding like she's from the bronx.

Do you have any additional comments?

I have say I really enjoyed this book.

I said in my review of Boundary Crossed that Lex while just as developed was not as enjoyable as Scarlett.mainly because of she lacks the friends that show her more light-hearted side and I stand by that.

In Boundary Lines she has friends like Simon, Lily, Quinn and oddly enough (for me anyway) Maven. Thus I saw her more relaxed and at times wise@$$ side that made the book so much more enjoyable.

I can honestly and happily say if are a fan of urban fantasy this would an awesome choice to add to your library.

Perhaps a different narrator?

I liked the story but I don't really like the narrator for this story. The main character is from Colorado, but the narrator keeps making the characters sound like they're from the bronx.

Better than the first book. Great narration..

This was much better than the first book. BUT they’re still written in the first person which is such a waste when you have so many interesting characters but don’t have a clue what’s going with them, ever.

This was about magic going wonky and werewolves, vampires and witches doing bloody things, and no one knew why. As it turns out someone was doing magical things to the “ley lines” in Boulder and Lex had to figure out who it was, and kill a gigantic sand-worm, the Unktehila, who was eating people, before Maven started killing people she thought was guilty of turning on her.

Fade-black-sex and the F-bomb was used 18 times.

As to the narration: 99% of the reason I decided to finish this series is because (1) they are all free read-free listen and (2) because Kate Rudd narrates them. Love, love, love Kate Rudd.

It took a little while to love

I I took me a little while to get really get to the "I LOVE this" groove but I certainly made it there. It always takes a little while to adjust to the narrator when starting a new listen, but Ms Rudd really came through. There are times when the story helps me stick long enough to adjust but this book had the rare-ish quality of the story latching on & powering us forward & the narrator keeping the interest alive when the story hits those inevitable slow spots. Well done all!!

Witches, vampires, weres, and giant sandworms!

Boundary Lines by Melissa F. Olson and narrated by Kate Rudd is book two in the series. Our witch learns more tricks that are pretty cool, werewolves come into the story, giant sandworms type creatures are eating people and our witch is assigned to get rid of it. More ghost activity and much more! This is a non-stop supernatural book! Plenty of suspense, surprises, twists, creatures, wonderful plot, new characters, danger, humor, and endless entertainment!
The narrator performs the characters flawlessly! 10 stars for sure!

I love this series!

I just crave stories with vampires, witches, & werewolves but especially when they're all in the same story! The narrator was spot on!
