Loved both the narrators who bought the story alive especially Connor’s smooth tones; he encapsulated Dante’s controlled heated emotions.

Great steamy Mafia love story!

Great narrators deliver a very middling tale with gusto. At almost 12 hrs long I was looking forward to a feast, but half way through I am stuck. Uninspired by the first half, I don't want to face the disappointed of another 6 hours of the same. Will I make it to the end? It's taken me over a week to decide on how to word my review.

Average would be a positive word for the drama, the action, the characterizations and dialogue. It's like a poorly cooked meal at a top restaurant, you expected so much better than cold unremarkable fare.

Recently had Canary by Tijan and Revenge by Meagan Pearce who really take the Mafia genre to the next level. These books are perfectly narrated, are thrilling, have smart MCs in clever intricate plots. So enjoyable.

I wanted this story to be good as Connor Crais is now my favourite Audible narrator since Christian Fox left.
