Utterly captivating from the first moment. Izzy burns bright. Brave, flawed, and achingly real, while Caleb is the kind of brooding, dangerous-but-tender Fae you can’t stop thinking about. The writing is sharp and lyrical, filled with those lines you have to stop and savour. It’s romance and peril woven together in perfect balance. If you crave slow-burn passion, tangled secrets, and heroines who rise through the ashes, this will set your heart alight. It did mine. I listened straight through and, like other reviews I'm seeing here, was left desperate for Book 2.
The question is... How long will we have to wait??

Even listening at a 2x speed, I was edging the narrator along to get through certain parts. Mainly at the end of the book. The characters were we described, developing with the story, layer after layer peeled off with each revelation. Getting an insight into this other world and things falling into place bit by bit for the grand finale. Hard to know who to trust but fully counting on Izzy to make the right choices and let the fire lead but not overpower…. Waiting anxiously for the next part. Hoping for happy ending but there is still quite a journey to go for the characters.

Loved it! Can’t wait for the next book!

Such an amazing book, I listened to it all so quickly and was gutted when I realised it had only just been realised and would have to wait for the next one.

Pretty good story great narration will definitely be listening to the next one nearly quit a short way in as the character was incredibly irritating but I realise it was part of the journey that she has to go through. It doesn’t last stick with it.
