I really like Lani Lynn Vale and the story but Cheyenne was a little childish at times Stephanie Rose voice almost ruined it for me but i did like Mason Lloyd

love this story dislike the narrator

Decided to try give this series a listen as I saw Mason was one of the VA, and I have loved all his work so far. Again, his parts on the book are amazing. He does a great job as always. But I have to say, not a huge fan of the female narrator. And gutted that shes covered most of the book and I’m more than 2/3 of the way through. The narration from her just sounds so dreary, and makes the book hard to stay gripped too. The story is okay, although i feel like the MCs relationship felt really rushed. However it’s not enough to push me away from the book. But yeah, kinda gutted for this one. I can see the duo narrate the rest of the series and I’m happy to listen to Mason all day. But after this books performance from the female narrator. I’m not sure if I can sit and listen to more from her.

I always enjoy stories from this author, and this one is no different. The characters are likeable and the storyline is engaging.

From pity party for one to fantasy future in hours. Cheyenne finds everything she could possibly want and more in Sam, but no matter how explosive their chemistry....fate never makes it easy.
I love the men of Free, all a little cracked, dinted and broken but all have a heart of gold and will stop at nothing to protect women and children. They were heroes of war and are now silent heroes on a daily basis rescuing and protecting battered women. How can we not fall for them?
I originally read this book a number of years ago, but listening on Audible adds to the impact and emotion, I cried more than once, tears of horror and sorrow before eventually tears of happiness and joy.
I listened to this on Audible.
