Summary

Who is to blame when no one is innocent?

The papers want blood. The force wants results. The law must be served, whatever the cost.

August 1973. The Glasgow drugs trade is booming and Bobby March, the city's own rock-star hero, has just OD'ed in a central hotel.

Alice Winters is 12 years old, lonely. And missing.

Meanwhile the niece of McCoy's boss has fallen in with a bad crowd and when she goes AWOL, McCoy is asked - off the books - to find her.

McCoy has a hunch. But does he have enough time?

Strength to strength.

Bingeing this series and each one is better than the previous. Up there with Liam Mcilvanney in bringing old Glasgow to life.

Great book

Love it and loved the narrator. The series keeps getting better. Definitely should be televised.

Good big scoop of nostalgia makes you smile.

Gritty and atmospheric amply aided by the great narration. Can’t wait for the next instalment.

Great story

I have enjoyed this book from Alan parks the story is great and keeps me wanting to keep reading to see what happens next, but as an audible book I will so buy again. The narrator is terrible. Not sure what is going on with that accent but it slips between dodgy Scottish (not Glaswegian) then to Yorkshire or something similar. Makes it difficult to listen to.

Superb writing , 5🐥narration

By far , the best audiobook I have purchased this year.
Storyline is easy to follow, yet unbelievably so much going on , to keep you interested .
Alan parks is simply brilliant,
This is not a book to fall asleep too!
Highly recommend. ,
love love love the narrator,
each character brought to life with easily distinguishable voices.

Interesting complex plot

Good plot and characters. Not predictable. Sometimes the timing of the narration was a little off.

Great series. Nightmare narrator

Love the storyline but the narrator spoils the listening experience. The Harry McCoy series is so good I'm hooked and reckon it would be brilliant on TV - genuine Scottish actors 😀
