Every upgrade pushes Alexander closer to a power others would kill for.

On a dusty fringe station far from civilized space, Alexander scrapes by repairing the junk no one else will touch. The shop is a dead end, and his memory is fractured, yet each job sharpens instincts he can't explain and reactivates dormant systems with capabilities no civilian machine should possess.

Alexander knows he isn't built like any other robot, and someone has noticed.

A pirate lord has marked him for capture, convinced Alexander can build the war engines he needs to elevate his rag-tag fleet into an empire.

As Alexander unlocks the secrets within his damaged body, he's thrust into a fight to protect the only people who've shown him kindness. He will have to rebuild shattered defenses, restore derelict stations, and reverse-engineer stolen technology to keep his new home alive and lay the first foundations of an enterprise that will one day shape the frontier.

Perfect for fans of Bobiverse, Backyard Starship, and Expeditionary Force.

A great start to a new series. I saw an advert saying this book was similar to the Bobiverse... it's not, but it is great and set in space with a human consciousness in a robot. I liked it so much I brought the next two books before finishing. I'm well into the second book and it gets better.

Excellent start to a series

The character development reflected the narrative, I began to feel Alex was discovering himself as I was seeing him revealed. Looking forward to a follow up.

Started slow but paid off in spades.

Nice and slow start but is full of mysteries, some action at the end, and great character building. Elements of world building with lots of pirate fighting. I will definitely read the next one.
