About this listen

Frankie loves blueberries and is used to getting his way. When he comes home to find his parents can no longer give him what he wants, he struggles to understand. If is parents love him, then why don’t they give him everything that he wants?

Frankie wrestles with what many children deal with everyday...economic hardship. Through the love of his parents and friends, he comes to understand why he must change to find happiness.

Blueberries is a beginning chapter book with illustrations. Blueberries contains four short chapters, designed for levels first through fourth grade. Full-color illustrations are included to enhance the chapters. Although the main character is a boy, girls will love it too. I wrote it for all those sweet children who come to that age where they realize they no longer can get everything they want. This event rocks their small world. Most travel through this life lesson and come out the other side better people. But the transition is hard, and I hope this book eases them through the challenge.

Interesting modern fable and a good bed time story. I'll be reading this to my grand daughter when she's a bit older to understand.
