The Netherlands, 1887. Lucy's twin sister Sarah is unwell. She refuses to eat, mumbles nonsensically, and is increasingly obsessed with a centuries-old corpse recently discovered on her husband's grand estate. this is a brilliant story, I liked the vampire angle, bit different than the usual vampire stories and really enjoyed the gothic feel

Don't normally write reviews but this story took a horrible turn. Anything past second part was pointless and can't justify the sisters actions. Lowkey everyone but the main cast actually did the right thing but writer pushes for their narrative.

I didn’t like this book much; it’s a nice listen but that’s all. The story doesn’t have much depth at all, clearly influenced by the recent Nosferatu, it’s just a pop gothic novel which didn’t know provide anything new to the genre
