Likeable MC and mentor. It had nice magic system and a fun sense of adventure. It had great pacing and was very entertaining throughout.
I will definitely be picking up the sequel.

I really enjoyed this book, the author has a great writing style that helps the story flow. Great characters and a wonderful system, with Kay’s blood based abilities being quite unique. Very much a learning curve book 1 for Kay and his teacher and friend Eleniah, with hopefully much more to come. The narration by Eric Bryan Moore is perfect.

This one I honestly didn't know what to expect at the start but slowly it unfolded into a interesting and complex structure and story with a host of characters and LitRPG elements that hooked me up to the point where I got the other 4 books absolutely loved it
