About this listen

THE FINAL NOVAK & MITCHELL THRILLER

Someone's making a killing.

When the anti-corruption unit of the UK's intelligence agencies is attacked by gunmen, its director Rebecca Fox turns to the only people she can trust her life with: fearless journalists from The Republic, Tom Novak and Stella Mitchell.

But their pursuit of the truth is about to thrust them into an alliance with a disgraced former colleague of Novak's, who believes the attack is somehow connected to a conspiracy that began years earlier with the death of Novak's father.

Don't miss the final thriller of the explosive series, with globe-trotting action and devastating twists right up to the end.

Love the characters and do hope there will be more! Very good links back to the previous stories.

Great story

I have really enjoyed this series and hope they will release more. It’s helped me along with that long Monday morning commute.

Still a good story but not quite as enthralling as previous books in this series.
Possibly ruined by the narration which was at times laughable

Good but not great

Have been waiting for this, non stop listening! Well worth it… hope there is another in the series.

Gripping

I’ve just binged the five Novak and Mitchell books. I’ve listened during the day (I’m retired) and I haven’t even put the TV on at night. I had to know how each story ended. The research that Andrew Raymond must have done fire these books is phenomenal. Maybe I’m being naive as all authors have to do research but this felt different. The knowledge about the many and varied weapons and vehicles. The inner workings of MI5, MI6 and GCHQ was scary. The amount of data they hold on people or can find out about people if they stray from the right path.

The geographical detail for each country was lovely to listen to.

It took my until the third book to enjoy the narrator Toby Longworth. His accents were good but a lot of his ‘voices’ had a very gravelly, guttural tone which I didn’t like. Keep in mind I had been listening to Angus King for over a year so this deeply guttural voice took some getting used to. <i also had to change the speed to 0.85 as he spoke so quickly I couldn’t keep up with him. His narration was staccato so I don’t think I will be listened to any more books with him as narrator. br />

Thank you Andrew Raymond for these books I’m an awful lot more knowledgeable now than I was about a week ago.
