Absolutely loved this book.

Mac and Freya melted my heart.

This friends-to-lovers romance hit every tick box going. This isn't my favourite trope and there are only a couple of books that have ever made me rethink my rating on this trope. Blindsided is now one of them. Amy has done a fantastic job of making the friendship the foundation of their story throughout. Even when things started to turn sour, their friendship was always the main element of the story.

Mac and Freya have such a comedic relationship with the added bickering of an old married couple. From start to finish these two never stop talking. Mac is constantly ensuring that Freya knows she's amazing in her own way and Freya wants Mac to show her exactly what it's like to date. After a horrendous game of Never Have I Ever, Mac knows exactly where he stands with Freya's expertise in the dating field. From the get-go, I was cheering for Mac to get his foot in the door and make his mark on Freya. The guy definitely fell first and Mac's football-going exterior became that much more squidgy.

This is the first book I've read by Amy that made me cry. I bawled my eyes out, probably, because the story hit close to home but Amy didn't shy away from the difficult topic. Mac had some issues he had to deal with and there were some losses that, unfortunately, happened along the way.

I loved this book when I read it, and now, after hearing the audio I'm back swooning over Mac again. The banter between him and Freya is hilarious and their chemistry is off the charts! Charlotte and Will did an amazing job of narrating.

I loved reading this fabulous, funny, warm, romantic book and this audio! It is absolutely amazing!! Will Watt and Charlotte Cole are so gifted as narrators and in this audio they are faultless! They are pass masters at the tricky art of dual narration, producing an experience which is one of the best I have heard. They rock the different accents and characters and with a Scottish husband, I am very fussy about listening to a convincing Scottish accent. Will is brilliant! They act the parts with conviction and skill, with a sense of fun, warmth and an understanding of Mac and Freya. This is going to be in my top favourites list, along with all of Amy Daws other fabulous books. I am a very happy listener!! 😍💖😍💖😍💖😍

Ever since Mac and Freya and I first met, I have been impatiently awaiting the #MacAttack and now it is here, woohoo!!

I am a bit of sucker (in a non bj way) for a Scotsman, and Maclay Logan may have stolen my heart.

I love the friends-to-more story between Mac and Freya. Whilst they see themselves as just mates, we the reader can see that they are so much more.

Freya is the bomb dot com. There is a bit of Freya in all of us, and I need to be her friend. I felt her emotions through to my core.

Mac, well what can one say about a sexy Scot? Other than sir, I did not like you at times. I love you, but I didn't always like you. I could understand why things were done, however the way you went about it - not so much.

Of course, being tied in with the Harris Brothers books, we got plenty of the lads and their lovely ladies. Stand up Harris Hos and be proud!

I did find that the first half of the book was a little slow, however the second half ramped right up and I was laughing, I was crying, I was screaming at my Kindle. However Ms Daws brought everything around to how it should have been, so all good!

It was great to be back in the world of these wonderful characters, and I hope we get more in the future.

I did have my issues with Will Watt's narration in the last Amy Daws book he narrated (Payback), however I didn't have those problems with this one. The MacAttack hitting my ears was perfection. When he calls Freya "Cookie"... oh my swoon!
