Summary

HER SECRETS ARE UGLY.

They've kept her from coming home.

Now she's risking everything to return.

She thought it would be a quick trip. Show up. Say the right words. Then she'd be gone.

She never counted on meeting him.

The football star.

The single dad.

He knew she was shattered by some event she kept hidden under lock and key.

The clues on her body failed to reveal her secrets - unlike scars on his body that clearly publicized his.

The clock was ticking, giving him only a short time to uncover the true meaning of the flower branded into her flesh.

Because if she got back on that plane, he knew it would be forever.

Grab your tissues and listen to this sexy romance now!

Note to listener: This book can be listened to as a standalone novel. It is the third book in a series that follows three sisters. This series can easily be enjoyed out of order.

The Beginning of Their Forever....

A beautiful ending to a fantastic series. Thank you Samantha for this beautiful story.

Have you ever wished you could just jump into a book and smack the bejesus out of someone? Well believe me when I tell you... You're gonna want too now. Cassidy, the mother of Masson' s daughter Hailey, is such a piece of work. The way she manipulates and cinives her way through life is so frustrating but (if I may be frank) the bitch finally goes down. Won't tell you how because you will have to listen to find out. 😉

Piper has barely survived after a traumatic event in her life that brought tears to my eyes, and fears she will never know what the love of a man is like. She has been scared for life. How will she ever overcome what has happened to her. She decides to leave her family behind and takes off with her long time friend as she is her only support and strength until Masson comes along.

Masson a football star and a single dad, is every woman's fantasy and dream come true but even at his younge age of only 22, his only focus is his daughter Hailey and football. He doesn't need a woman in his life. The only woman in his life is Hailey until he meets Piper. Their life intertwines suddenly and even though the beginning was rocky, they prove to us that dreams do come true and that no matter what life has thrown at you, you can overcome anything if you believe.

I loved that Samantha had a duel POV. Piper and Masson shared chapter for chapter and it was very interesting to follow the story this way. I loved each character for their individual personalities. This story is full of sass, laughter, some pain and tears, joy and most of all love, respect, courage and happiness. Thank you again Samantha for your genius mind and way of words.

Love Samantha’s work

A fabulous book brought to life. This series of books is amazing, each with its own headache.

Pipers is a tragic story, finding Mason is the best thing that could happen to her. Piper just needs to realise this.

One of the best audio books EVER

I have listened to all three book in this series - each one better than the last. But this one surpassed all other audiobooks I have listened to. The storyline is exceptional, the narrators certainly did the story justice. Everything about this book is well worth five stars, the storyline, the narration, the characters…. and well done to whoever wrote the description for letting readers know the sequence of books to this series. It would be nice if this were the case with all audiobooks which were part of a series.

Black Roses

This is a great third book in the series, with a lot of sorrow, and history to over come. Read with great feeling by Lauren Sweet and Gary Furlong.

A wow Rose of a story

This audio is wow just WOW 5 stars .
Hero is Mason . Heroine is Piper .
The author Samantha Christy knows how to draw you in with the first paragraph. There are lots of Twists and turns . You get a glimpse of one thing and right when you think you have it figured out the story takes you on another twist .
Mason is a football star who is asked to pick up piper at the airport. Piper sister is getting married and she came back to NYC for the wedding.
The narrators were fantastic. The story draws you right in

she never thought she could love so many

Black Roses by Samantha Christy first I have to say this is my first audible book and I found it very exciting to hear someone else read the story and hear the voices of other people.

piper's story was very heartbreaking to me I feel she had a rough time when she was young I also feel that it was such a wonderful love story that she could rise above what she went through.

I found Black Roses to be funny where I actually laughed out loud quite a few times I found it to where I wanted to cry sad tears and happy I thought it was funny the way Piper and Mason teased about moving to New York almost like a little game that they played.

I absolutely love the Mitchell sisters everything about these books are wonderful I recommend it to adult readers.. they're funny sexy sad sometimes a little scary but they are downright sweet love stories stories that will make you want to find a relationship just like the Mitchell sisters have all found.... well done Samantha Christy I am looking forward to your next book

"It's only me Sweetheart"

I read this book a little over a year ago (twice actually) and listening to it still gave me all the feels if not more! Piper and Mason's struggles with the nightmares that haunt them and their issues with trust make this story full of angst but of course, in true Samantha Christy fashion, we get our HEA!! Love the alternating POV and the epilogue ❤️❤️❤️

OMG such a good book and narration!

The Michell Sisters Novels are the first books I’ve read from Samantha Christy and I read all three in a matter of three days. Out of three I like Piper and Masons story the best. I think the ending is more true to real life. Where my jaw was dropping and smiling in Purple Orchids, my eyes were misty in White Lilies, Black Roses had my lips quivering and a tear or two falling. This was such a great story.

I won’t give anything away about the book but I think this is a story that deserves a second and even a third read from me. And even though all three can be read independently of the other I think a person would appreciate it more if they are read in order.....Loved all three

Fantastic conclusion to the series

Wow, the Mitchell sisters have been through a lot! This third book in the series is a beautiful story of healing, hope, and family. Mason is a lovable and down-to-earth single father and NFL player just doing what he loves when he falls hard for Piper, the sister-in-law of his best friend. Piper is running from her past and is resigned to the fact that she will never find love or be happy again. Samantha Christy has written a heartwarming love story between two broken souls who have a lot of healing to do. The characters from the previous two books in the series play important roles in Mason and Piper’s journey to find peace and love beyond the trauma of their pasts. Lauren Sweet and Gary Furlong bring all the emotions and heat to make this story a five star listen. ** FYI there may be some triggers in this book with sexual assault and trauma.

Definitely worth a listen!

The narrators for Piper and Mason did an amazing job. Loved this story. I haven't read the first two books in this series but I didn't struggle with this book. In my opinion it can be read as a standalone.

Beautiful Conclusion to a Beautiful Series

Samantha Christy was a new author for me when I started the Mitchell Sisters series. What a wonderful, surprise discovery! These stories are heartbreaking and beautiful (yes I’m using that word again).
The narrators are a little hard to get used to but after a while they are okay. Gary Furlong is better than Lauren Sweet.
