Summary

Everything that you have read about Bigfoot is a lie. Everything that you have heard about Bigfoot is the truth! Enjoy three stories from the files of The Creep Squad - that pack of cryptids, legends, and nondescript rumors who fight crime and misjustice anywhere that you aren't looking.

What if all the stories were true? What if Bigfoot really did exist? What if he depended upon people's belief in him for his very existence? What if he needed a job and the only one he was suited for was keeping the other legends in their place? What if he joined the Creep Squad?

Am enjoyable collection

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The Book

The story is quite amusing in many ways with a sort of tongue in cheek tone. The tales are good fun to listen to and although short they are well rounded.

The Production

The narration is good clear and suits the story nicely, much better than some of the others ive heard by this author.

A Nice Introduction To The World Of Sasquatch

If you could sum up Bigfoot Tracks in three words, what would they be?

Three Great Stories

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bigfoot Tracks?

The opening where you find that the narrator is Bigfoot.

Which scene was your favorite?

See Above

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I don't know if this book was meant to be moving in a sentimental way. I really enjoyed learning about the Canadian Mythological creatures and their legends. aside from Bigfoot, I don't think I had ever heard of them.

Any additional comments?

I requested a free review copy of this audio book and i am leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Major Freaking Mapleleaf makes an Appearance!

Steve Vernon is a cat that I follow around like a lost puppy. I have yet to see him put out a book that was not well thought out, and wickedly written to perfection. This book is a collection of shorts that features variaous monster folk, like the good ole Sasquach and even Major Mapleleaf! Never fear, there is a plethora of monsters that run the gamit of the well known to what you might consider to be the unknown (unless you are well versed in Monster Lore).

Vernon puts quite the spin on his "creeps", and I think that what he has done here is bloody brilliant, I have a few other of his collections, and I think this is my favorite so far, but then I love monsters of all shapes and sizes. For me, this was a win, win, win. I think it will be the same for you.

Joe Cliff Thompson nails down the narration like he was an air gun hooked up to a hurricane. He really has a great voice and carries the stories along like he wrote them himself. I think I enjoyed listening to him talk about sasquatch/bigfoot most of all, but there were others that he handled just as adroitly. He made this feel like a cohesive collection of stories.

I will be on the look out for the next installation of this Creep Squad, but then I'm always looking out for more by Vernon. He is a killer writer with quite a vision. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. Getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.

Three short monster stories

Bigfoot Tracks includes three stories of the Creep Squad, a team of monsters who hunt monsters. Their job is to protect normal people from monsters. The premise is fun, if not overly original. The execution is good, especially in that it does use a few monsters that are not your standard ones you see in every monster book.

I've listening to other books from Vernon, which I really enjoyed. This collection is good, but didn't grab me in the same way. It's good, just not great.

Narration by Joe Cliff Thompson is good. different characters and voices, well paced and easy to follow. No obvious technical or production issues

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this review voluntarily.

Another Hallow Good Time

The stories told here are fun and short, allowing my brain to wander in between chapters. I enjoyed the reader, as well as the stories told.

Middlin

This is three stories by the offbeat author from Canada, Steve Vernon. If you have not read Vernon before, you may be in for a treat or a trick. Most ppl either really like him or hate him. I like most of his stuff, but these stories I felt where a bit middlin. To someone new, they might get a kick out of Vernon, he has an imagination and a unique way of telling stories.
