So I wasn't sure what to expect going into this, but thought I'd give it a bash. The story itself was really good, well written and engaging. It's really just a wholesome love story about two folks from the opposite sides of the tracks, finding each other - however unconventionally they went about it - and falling in love as they overcome some pretty mad obstacles.

I liked how both of them had stereotypical views on what the other was like - spolied Princess and lady killing bad boy (which actually wasnt all that far off the mark to fair, but dude had layers, alright?? 😉).

I also liked how it went into quite a bit of detail for all it was a relatively short story. I loved that for a change the heroine was a big lass, much like myself, its great to be able to listen to her worries and be like, girl, sames.

I absolutely adored rykers family and I loved jasmine!! I would also love to hear more about ryker and daisy, and all the rest of the family aswell.

The only thing missing I think is what happened to daisy's treacherous family?? The scene just kind of finishes and moves right along and you never get to find out what happened to anyone other than her ex, and that fool deserved it!!

The narration was OK, much better than some I've heard, and you could differentiate between characters, but it just wasn't perfect, and that's why the 4 stars instead of 5, but it in no way detracted from the story.

I would definitely recommend this book, especially given that it's included in the audible subscription. I maybe wouldn't use a credit for it in all honestly (I did used to like to keep them for much longer books, but now that audible has revamped it's subscription plan - thank the lord - that's really a moot point as all the books cost the same now... 🤷🏼‍♀️) but if it was included in whispersync for a reasonable price, I'd probably pay actual money for it, so...
