Amazing

One day it took me to listen to this story I couldn't stop. So Jo who found it hard to make friends now has the best group of friends around, all trying to protect her and keep her safe. She is on a mission that is full of ups and downs but all I know is that I cannot wait to get stuck into the third book and see will the whole gang be able to complete there quest, and who set them up. Great story that just keep getting better and better.

Omg! Omg! Omg!

I loved this installment! I mean it was so full of surprises 🖤🖤🖤 it was a roller coaster ride for my emotions and how do I love Caius!!

And I love the fact that Audra doesn’t write
the relationship too complicated even though the tension, the doubt, the relief are all still there. I found myself dreading His reactions just as Jo does and feeling the same release as her when he just shows her more love! He is everything.

And the narrators Suzanne T Fortin and Zachari Johnson do such a nice job bringing this story to life! I can’t wait for the next installment.

So good

Jo is sick and tired of playing by the rules and doing what’s she told so she starts to learn how to control her powers and learn to fight. The only thing she can’t deny are her feelings for Caius even though it can have consequences far beyond her control.
Just love this series and both books are added to my listen too again.

Supernatural thriller with comedy and romance

OMG, this book was even better than the first one. Jo's and Chairs mission evolved into a journey of a lifetime. They are no longer alone. The Reapers and Demon borned were forced to work together, which is unheard of to ensure the dagger was found. This book finally gave Elijah, Jo's deadbeat dad an appearance and the shocking results of that union. It also showed Chaos true heritage and the battle that will insue. The book was funny, heartbreaking, joyful, and showed true loyalty and grit from the characters involved. As the first book, the narrators were awesome and right on the money. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in series. Excellent story, realistic characters, unexpected events and love pulled me deep into this audiobook and still have me in it's grasp. 5 Stars indeed.

as good as the first

Book 2 was just as exciting as book 1. I loved the growth of the relationship between Jo and Caius. You see a softer side of them both. The world building was fantastic and completely interesting. We get to hear the full version of the prophecy and it dropped big hints as to what as to come. Then the dreams Jo is having confirmed my assumptions and the journey solidified it. I'm not normally a fan of that trope but it was done really well. Looking forward to the next one and getting to know all the crew better.

AMAZING!!

Every aspect of this book was amazing! I loved the first book but this one was even better! There was action, suspense, romance this book has it all. The author does an amazing job bringing this story to life. I like the characters and how they are progressing in the series. There are so many new characters and a cat added in this series that are great additions to the group and each add a new dynamic! The narrators again did an amazing job! They bring the characters to life and I really enjoy listening to their voices! I can’t wait to see where this series goes!

on the edge of my set

I thought the first book of this series was good. I have a feeling the books will only get better. I love how Jo is so strong even in her weakest moments. Her strength to just to keep fighting even when she is about to pass out. I don't want to give anything away. I can't wait to find out what will happen next.

This story keeps getting better!

Narration is beautiful, love how you never have to question who’s speaking during dialogues.

Like with book 1, this book also has those sentences said by Caius after each chapter, while the rest is told from Jo’s pov. I love this concept and I’m glad is wasn’t exclusive for book 1. Those little tidbits give a little bit of insight to the story.
It’s a really welcome addition because some things Jo simply doesn’t know yet but Caius does.
Those comments are like little hints that either add to the storyline or add some mystery and sometimes even an ominous feeling.
So in a way they make it more realistic. They stear us on track with the severity it would’ve lacked if only Jo’s “speaking” the entire book.

The story picks up were book 1 ends and well, they have quite the journey ahead of them! After going to the portal they arrive in a dangerous place filled with wonderful and scary things. Caius’ knowledge about the Between sure comes in handy and Jo meets my absolute favorite character of the entire series. I do hope that character will be back in book 3 because it was a delight to hear about this ferocious mythical creature and then see the way it interacts with the group.

On the run from both the Reapers and the Demons whoms interpretation of the prophecy that came into play after Jo and Caius started their quest to find the solution (and maybe the reason too) for the lost souls. More and more souls are lost without a trace before the reapers can guide them to their afterlife. Those demons and reapers believe it is too dangerous to let Jo live, even if there’s only a slight chance that she’s the one the prophecy speaks of.

For them, what is one more dead, if the alternative is the end of the world.

But prophecies are cryptic at best so who knows what it really says?

During their travels through the Between, they meet up with friends and foes and some parts were amusing, some funny, some lovely -both the friendly and the swooning kind-, some captivating and some very suspenseful. All that in the most wonderful scenery both vicious and awestruckingly beautiful. Everything was so worth reading or listening about! Can’t really say much more without spoilers.

If you hate ‘the chosen one’ trope you probably won’t like this series but I love it. I felt like it’s not your typical chosen one story (seeing as most fear that chosen one to end the world instead of saving it) but adventurous, intriguing and mysterious at times too. And love, the natural growing toward each-other kind of love that can grow strong, instead of insta-love. The sort of love were the one partner doesn’t suddenly becomes obsessively protective and “forgets” the capability of their partner once the romance starts.

I absolutely love both books so far and can’t wait to know what happens next!

(I have been eyeing book 3 and it’s release so many times by now, I’ve never been this impatient before lol)

Astounding

So much happens in this book! Jo has become one of my all time favorite heroines. She overcomes so much and continues to grow and get stronger. Cauis is definitely a dreamboat! This story has it all and the narrators do a fabulous job of conveying the emotional roller coaster that this book takes you on!

Exciting second book in the series

This second book in the series is just as good, if not better than the first. As the title suggests the theme of betrayal runs through various threads in the story. It is a unique, thrilling and sometimes heart wrenching story laced with action, battles, deceit, romance and prophecy. As the war prophesied by the Morrigan seems to be drawing nearer and nearer, Joe, Caius and their allies continue to try to find a solution to the Lost, while at the same time having to fight for their own survival. The romance between Jo and Caius deepens in this story and there are a few surprises and revelations that often create more complications than solutions. I loved how Joe has begun to fully embrace her power and how new aspects of it are being slowly revealed. I also love the cat and can’t wait to see if she has a bigger role to play in the next book. The narrators of the audiobook, Suzanne T. Fortin & Zachary Johnson, did a great job for bringing the story to life and giving the characters individual voices that suits the characters well. This is a fast action story with characters you easily become attached and an ending that leaves you dying for the next in the series.

Attention keeping

I really enjoyed this sequel! While some parts were a little predictable it didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all. I love watching the relationships blossom and take hold. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this storyline!
