Summary

Betrayal is the fourth book in the Fire and Brimstone Scroll series. This series must be read in order otherwise the books won’t make much sense.

Riley has gone through so much in one year: learning about angels and demons, discovering his power, and exploring the love that has grown between him and his angels. All this personal growth has helped prepare Riley for one of the most difficult choices he’ll have to make. There were so many wonderful and sweet moments but also so much angst ending with a cliffhanger that had my heart thumping hard. I was completely engrossed in the story and I’m excited to dive into the next book.

Kirt Graves narrated the audiobook and did a fantastic job- just like he did for the previous three books. The audio quality is fantastic and well produced.

A great book to read but even better to listen to.

We catch up with Riley after he has been away from his guardians, and his guardians will become more to him. I love the two-dimensional aspect of Riley and how it comes across, the naivety of his sexual nature. Watch out for the conversation with Gideon about fisting. I laughed out loud.

You need the next book ready to read/listen to as soon as you finish this book.

I have to praise Kirt Graves for his brilliant narration of this book. I did have to speed up, but that's normal for me. I read at speed 1.30 on audible. Very enjoyable to listen to.

I’ve read this series several times but listening to this audiobook, is hands down a whole new experience.

Riley made me laugh when his curiously got the better of him. Riley and his Guardians’ relationship has come a long way; growing deeper, more intense and beautiful with each passing day.

The plot continues to thicken and things are getting pretty intense. Riley has given so much already - can he make it through to the end in one piece?

I forgot how much this book just hits you right in the feelings. Graves did a masterful job of making you feel all the hope and love for the first part of the book. You’re happy to just be a part of this burgeoning unconventional relationship. But I also felt like Knight and Graves makes sure you feel in the background that something big is looming. Then boom! Devastation. I felt it all when I read the book but had no idea how much more I’d feel listening to Graves give this story life. Make sure you have the next book queued, as you’re not gonna wanna wait!

MM+, Dark, Poly/Harem, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, Romance. Compelling with twists and turns throughout and lots of angst, despair, love and heat. Secrets are revealed and they are betrayed by a friend leading to losses and a sacrifice being made to protect others. Fantastic story with brilliant narration by Kirt Graves. Cliffhanger ending just makes me want to start listening to the next installment straight away.
