Have been so looking forward to this new Larkford book and it doesn’t disappoint. I actually really enjoyed the narration so not sure what other reviewers are on about - this ticks all my boxes for a really good audio book and I cannot wait for the next one. Brilliant, funny & heartfelt stories from Parkes yet again.

It took a little while to get used to the changes of voices but once I got past that I really enjoyed the story

I love these books. They are the book equivalent of a Lindt chocolate advert. You can curl up in front of a fire in your cozy knitwear and fall in love with the story. Sadly the narrator changed for this book which is always a bit frustrating when you have created characters in your imagination attached to the previous narrator. I have heard this narrator in other books and she worked perfectly but for this I don’t think she was the right fit.
Love the book though and looking forward to the next.

This has been a great series. I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to them. A perfect combination of humour, reality and interesting background of a village doctor's surgery. I loved the fun rapport between Taffie & Dan, lots of LOL moments, Elsie is such a darling, Alice and Grace and then Holly holding the story altogether. Fab. I hope there is another story following the introduction of a new member of staff...!!
