Summary

In the Bernie Sanders Guide to Political Revolution, Independent congressman, presidential candidate, and activist Bernie Sanders continues his fight against the imbalances in the nation's status quo and shows you how to make a difference to effect the changes America and the world need to create a better tomorrow.

Throughout the presidential campaign, Senator Bernie Sanders promised voters a future to believe in through his progressive platform and a vision for an America worth fighting for. This vision calls for an economic, environmental, health-care, and social justice revolution beyond the stagnant agendas of Democrat and Republican politicians to build an equitable future for all Americans - especially the younger generation that will inherit the consequences of decisions made now. Inside this practical and inspiring guide to effecting change in today's world, you'll learn how to:

  • Understand and navigate the current system of policy and government
  • Work to change the system to reflect your values and to protect our society's most vulnerable
  • Organize for the causes you care about most

Plus you'll find resources for further listening and organizations to get involved with.

With more than two decades of Washington, DC, insider knowledge and experience, Senator Sanders knows how to fight and change the system from within, a system desperately in need of reform in health care, immigration, taxes, higher education, climate change, and criminal justice.

Always about the issues

Thank you Bernie Sanders for writing a book that is all about the many many issues we face and not all about yourself. You are an inspiration to us all. I can't wait to vote for you in 2020

Excellent primer for people who want to be in the know!

This book gives you the basic info you need to hold your own left leaning stance in a political debate. Well worth the listen, but I almost want to buy the hard copy to take old fashion notes! We can only aspire to make the kind of difference Bernie does!

Fucc Donald Trump

This books dives into the ideology that Bernie has had for years including truly #resisting against the establishment and inequality. This consistent rhetoric mobilized a whole generation of young voters and re-mobilized those who lost faith in the US political system. Bernie would have won.

Great Summary of His Platform

While this book doesn't cover anything new if you've read his other books, it does a great job of breaking down the various policy positions progressives hold so that voters can better identify the candidates worth electing.

Equal parts doom and hope, as he explains both what is wrong and how to fix it. It's also inspiring to see how he hit the ground running, seemingly unbruised, even after the DNC electioneering and the Trump victory. He isn't quitting, and neither can we.

Interesting for sure, but...

I thought there were many good ideas in this, and Bernie's moral principles are beyond assault. He truly does love this nation and the people within it and I respect him very much for it.

Unfortunately I fear many of his humanitarian ideals would be mercilessly thrashed by the 1% before they even get off the ground. If all of society was as generous and noble as him, I'd praise his ideas at the top of my lungs. But it isn't. There needs to be more incentive beyond humanitarianism to make the 1% help contribute some of the growing threats in our nation.

An idealist? Yes. But no less a reputable, intelligent man I'd happily call a president.

This wasn't the book that I thought it was

This is a rehash of Bernie's platform. It has no advice on how to help.
