Sam Hunter is a bit of an animal. He's a former Twin Cities cop who lost his badge because of excessive force. Abusive husbands, child molesters, and other lowlifes wound up looking like they'd been mauled by a dog...or a wolf.

Now Sam's a low-rent PI in Philadelphia. He takes the kinds of cases no one wants. His clients are usually on the fringes of society. The kind who are prey for all manner of predators - human and otherwise.

Well… What can I say that that could convince a ‘Newcomer ’ to this pack 😊. Let’s get the fact out that Jonathan Maberry REALLY KNOWS HOW TO WRITE A STORY (OR TWO!). I came to this author by accident and have been addicted ever since. Now couple this wonderful writer with Roy Porter’s excellent reading talent and you get an explosive, immersive, dynamic duo 🙏. I am really ‘too old’ for this BUT are we ever too old? Really?? I’ve watched vampires and werewolves in many films but would not consider my self as Fandom status. This has now completely changed. No, I don’t have posters on my wall but I have scoured the www for more info and found out I do love a good vampire/werewolf/ other worldly story. Heck was I not a Stephen King/horror addict in my younger years. Hell Yes! But I’ve always struggled with capturing the images in my rather dull thought process. Not any more!!, My only HUGE bug bear is I cannot get the full collection from Audible BOO 😞. Crappy Apple have not included ALL titles 😡😡😡. But, I digress. This book is a wonderful read and knocks the socks off all Versipellis (real word, look it up). I say that because I can’t spell the name from this book since I’m listening 🥺
