I’ve been a fan of Leigh’s since 2011 when I saw the girls on The X Factor and on the tour. This is a very easy listen to have on in the background when revising or doing household chores. It’s amazing to get to know her culture and the hardships and also the great things about her career. (This is the account holders daughter btw.) ❤️

I dont quite have the words for the effect this book had on me. I wasn’t expecting such impact. As a mixed girl living in the UK, she perfectly articulated experiences that I could unequivocally relate to. Experiences I hadn’t even made sense of yet. This was transformative and it took me by surprise.

It’s so wonderful to witness her growth too. Most of us have a story arc that might go from young, free and innocent, to identity crisis/losing confidence, and finding ourselves again. She paints the picture of her reality beautifully. I found myself watching videos of her X Factor journey as she told her story.

This book is a fantastic read from start to finish, all the honesty of leannes life put out there for everyone to read. I love her drive on life & how she's learnt to overcome issues.
