Navy SEAL Xavier Rivera visits historic Lake Olympus Lodge on a scouting mission for a top secret training exercise. In the lodge, he meets smart, attractive park archaeologist Audrey Kendrick. There are many reasons he should ignore the immediate, simmering attraction between them, but in the heat of the moment he has no restraint.

A great introduction
After listening to this teaser I'm diving straight into the main book, Into The Storm.
The cliff hanger ending of this prequel had me really annoyed with Xavier and his treatment of Audrey. I hope she makes him suffer in the next book! 😂 Can't wait to see how things develop.

Great book
A wonderful start to a new series. Great characters and a feisty heroine and a damaged hero. Can’t wait to read and listen to what happens next. Fabulous narration too

Can’t wait to read the next book
This is a short story setting the scene for the main book that’s upcoming. Although it’s a short book it’s quite intense and has made me very interested in reading the next book. Xavier is in town on a secret mission scouting out a venue for some secret navy seal manoeuvres. Audrey is the local national park Archeologist. It’s instant attraction for both of them but he can’t reveal his true reason for being in town. They have a really steamy night of no strings sex but he leaves in the morning causing hurt feelings and leaving Audrey with a lasting impression of Xavier. This book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. I normally hate cliffhangers and will refuse to read books that end this way. This is the exception as the new book is due soon. The narration is well done, excellent voices that add to the story rather than detract.

Love this prequel! Very much recommend!
I normally skip 0.5 books. but this one is great! very much recommend it!
also.. Can we please let Greg Tremblay narrate all romance books from now on? I first heard him in Flashpoint (also very heartily recommend), the other series by Rachel Grant.. And I just LOVE his narration! he is amazing!!

Rachel and Xavier beginning
This is the Novella about how Xavier and Audrey met for the first time. Xavier is visiting the lodge to check out the site for a secret training mission for the Navy Seals. He was taken by Audrey, the pretty archaeological Park Ranger.
Their connection is hot and steamy. Audrey was hoping to see Xavier again, but they agreed for one night. That night was more than what Audrey bargained for. this sets the story for the amazing, exciting story, Into the Storm.
Greg Tremblay and Nicol Zanzarella performed this hot, steamy story with so much emotion.

Great meet cute!
I love learning the meet cute of a couple, and Xavier and Audrey's just whet's the appetite. Audrey is the Lake Olympus Park archaeologist, overseeing all the land, the history and keeps the areas true to their history. Xavier is introduced to her, and the two have an immediate attraction, one that has them enjoying that feeling. While Xavier is up front about commitment, he is not so honest about his reason for being at the park. What will happen when she finds out? Spicy, the beginning of some suspense and thrills and a romance I can't wait to see bloom leads us to book 1. Get ready for the Into the Storm!
Nicol Zanzarella and Greg Tremblay give us this teaser with all the heat and passion a couple can have. I am looking forward to hearing their narration continue and bring us the whole story!

Prequel
New author and new narrators for me. Fell in love with all of them! My only complaint would be that now I’m hooked and MUST go on. Great way to start a series. Just enough back story to get you sucked in and interested I getting to know more. Will the battle wounded soldier get his heart thawed out by the nature loving vixen? I certainly can’t wait to find out.

Seriously Smokin'
Yikes! This may have been a short prequel, but holy hotness, it's purely steam-driven. Written with all the skill and panache of the author's full-length works, this novella introduces us to Audrey and Xavier, an archaeologist and former SEAL, respectively. Kismet aligns all the stars for a great one-night hot sheet event neither one of them expected, but both adored. The next day, they set out for their independent tasks, assuming they would never see each other again.
Don't you just love fate sometimes?
This is an insta-love prequel to the new romantic thriller by Rachel Grant, "Into the Storm." One word of warning, go ahead and have the full book downloaded and ready to go. You won't want to wait after listening to this glorious appetizer!

Quick but meaty prequel
Before the Storm is a quick read that leads to the book, Into the Storm. Though Xavier needs to keep his reasons for being in the park a secret, he can't help but feel drawn to Audrey and offers to help her out of a jam. Though he warns her it can only be one night, they both feel more than passion. Their one night leads to unexpected consequences and betrayal. The reader can't help but immediately want to learn more of the story. The narration was great and I felt like I was right there with them throughout the story.

Prequel definitely not to be missed!
Definitely not to be missed. We meet Xavier and Audrey as they fall into their own personal fire and major misunderstandings. This audiobook is well done by the narrators, Nicol Zanzarella and Greg Trembley and ends at a point that makes the listener/reader want to immediately pick up the next book “In To The Storm”. Grab this audiobook and get ready for the next anticipated read.

Good novella
Quick story. Xavier is visiting a lodge on Park Service land to evaluate its suitability for a Navy training exercise. He is instantly smitten by the head archeologist and they spend a night together. Several weeks later and the pair have another encounter…this one, though, isn’t as friendly! Looking forward to the ‘main’ story in the next book.
