I have read this book and now listened to it, Kim brings it to life. I feel for Mike, he has such empathy and compassion but also has a rage burning inside. Absolutely loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone reading “The end of Everything and Safe Haven series. Just leaves you wanting more!

Having read all 28 of Chris' books and while eagerly awaiting the 29th, I decided to go back to the very beginning of Safe Haven with Mikes story. Even though you know what's ahead for his family and indeed the whole world, it was still great to refresh your memory of how it all started and how Mike was shaped into the person he is. I don't usually like prequels but this was an excellent idea and the whole thing was brought to life with the wonderful Kim Brettons' narration.

This book about the life of Mike is brilliant, I love reading about the individual characters in the Safe Haven series, Mike being the main Character
As usual really well narrated by Kim Bretton and of course written by a very talented author Christopher Artinian.

The highly anticipated insight in to the beginning of events through Mike's eyes, a gut wrenching and incredibly moving account of how events unfolded, setting Mike and his family on their path. This was a fast paced, action packed, emotional rollercoaster of a read that I just couldn't put down, Kim's narration gave the characters life and emotional that completed the experience. An amazing insight into one of the characters with the greatest impact on Safe Haven, I can't wait to listen to more from the residents of Safe Haven. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
