Summary

Every girl has dreams of meeting Prince Charming, or at least I know I did. A fairy-tale-like meeting of love at first sight. Real life and fairy tales are very different. I'm just a small-town Indiana girl who had a chance encounter with one of Hollywood's golden boys. You may think you know where this story goes - not even close. Life is different. Marriage is hard. It's even worse when you're strangers.

Contains mature themes.

Enjoyable

What made the experience of listening to Becoming Mrs. Lockwood the most enjoyable?

Although it was fairly predictable, it is a good story. You want to know what happens next and it is easy to understand how Wren must feel.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Becoming Mrs. Lockwood?

Don't want to spoil the story for others

Which character – as performed by Stephanie Wyles and Jeremy York – was your favourite?

I liked them both. I wish Jeremy York narrated more though

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

not sure

Any additional comments?

Obviously a fairy tale but fun to lose your self in

Narration

While Stephanie Wyles is good for female narration , she is lacking in performing as a male character. I had difficulty listening to her version of a male voice.

terrible

I don't write reviews often and am really not picky, but this book is so dumb I couldn't finish it. I returned it. The premise is stupid, events in the book seem like they were written by a juvenile and the narrator was bad. I really tried to get through it and just couldn't.

Refreshingly original!

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this audiobook! The hero is a famous Hollywood actor/director and the heroine is a regular girl from Indiana. While both were visiting Las Vegas they accidentally meet while she's reading in the lobby of her hotel while her mother is gambling in the casino. They strike up a friendship and over a couple days they are really enjoying each other, until one night they drink too much wine and end up married to each other. The biggest surprise is that she's a high school senior! I'm not going to divulge anything more so as not to spoil the book, but they have some big trials ahead of them until they get their happy ending. Great narration too!

Just okay

I really struggled to finish this story. it just draaagggeddd. the female narrator drove me crazy. I wish this audiobook was edited better. She dropped many consonants in words like "couldn't", "hadn't", "wouldn't" (to sound more like coun't, han't or woun't) and it really took away from the story. I do not recommend this book at all.

Don't. Just.... don't.

Waste of time. The story kept dragging on! Situations were unrealistic and annoying. Just don't.

loved it

So I wasn't sure if I would like this book or not. 16 hours is pretty long for a romance book in my opinion. But one of my favorite tropes is Hollywood actor/producer falls in love with girl next door type. if you're into modern type fairy tales, this is the book for you. I honestly never got bored and devoured it in a couple days (I listen to books at work). Weston was a totally sweet alpha. I liked him a lot. Wren was great too and didn't put up with his bullshit. I don't want to give away anything but definitely worth a listen if your in the mood for a light read.

Jeremy York had 2 chapters in this book, so mostly told from wren's pov. her male voice could better but I've defitely heard wayyy worse and didn't take away from the book so it was fine. I don't think York's voice would have suited Weston that much so that was fine by me.

also loves all the secondary characters and wouldn't mind visiting this verse again with one of them.

I was sad when it was over tbh. but onto the next book.

awesome

very good book but I think there's a little glitches in this book where words are being fast-forwarded and is not by the phone device that have one here other than that is a great story

Very solid lovestory

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the interplay between characters. Everyone was well developed and you could see the bonds shared in this large extended family.

What about Stephanie Wyles and Jeremy York ’s performance did you like?

Stephanie Wyles did a great job with both the male and female voices. I love jeremy york narration and wish he had more time in this audiobook.
