Summary

My name is Charlie, and I'm invisible. Well, not literally, but until one of the most popular guys at Eden High saved my life, nobody even knew I existed. Sean Reese gave me more than my life back that night. He gave me friendship.

And maybe, just maybe, I can save him, too.

Will he still be my friend when he finds out my secret?

Great YA story

This well written and well narrated story around friendship, loyalty and finding special people in your young life, has been a really good listen! Charlie and Sean are both enchanting and the development of their friendship is just lovely.

Loved it!

I wasn't sure I wanted to listen to this book because Charlie is only 15, but I'm so glad I did. I loved every minute of this story. It was quite an emotional rollercoaster. Charlie and Sean both had their flaws but they were such lovable characters, and I can't wait to see how their story ends in book 2.

Melissa Moran did an amazing job giving a distinct voice and emotion to each and every character. I haven't listened to anything else she's narrated but I'm certainly going to be checking out some of her other books now. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

WOW so many emotions

I literally loved every single minute of this book, from the beginning, it grabbed my attention and I was unable to put it down.

The characters are great I really loved them all, well except Sean's dad, that man is infuriating I don't like him, nope not a tiny bit.

Charlie and Sean are awesome, they both bring a smile to my face just thinking about them. I was happy, giddy and excited just like Charlie was, and I also was frustrated at times with all the "just best friends" things, I wanted to tell and shake Sean to tell Charlie that he liked her, because it was obvious!!!

The narration was really good, Melissa Moran is fantastic, she brings all the characters to life so perfectly. Her tone, pace and inflections are just perfect for every character, she really did amazing and I loved listeningto her.

A coming of age novel about finding yourself!

Charlie wants to remain invisible, but after an event on her way home, puts her in the path of Sean. It changes their lives forever. I fell in love with both Sean and Charlie. A truly beautiful story and would highly recommend!

4 Invisibility Stars

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Invisibility Stars

Charlie is a young girl, a young girl that is invisible, not in the magic sense, but in the fact that no-one knows who she is, she does her best to not be noticed, and beats herself up all the time about how she looks, sound familiar?

Ugh, school is just a horrid place to be when you are not one of the popular kids, how many of you have felt the stinging tongue of a nasty kid, usually the girls are worse!

After a silly mistake on her part by walking home alone, Charlie gets into a situation that she can't use her "invisibilty cloak" to get out of, that is until Sean steps in!

Sean is on the football team, he is popular, and hot!

He decides that him and Charlie are going to be friends, best friends, but Charlie can not see why he wants to spend time with her.

I loved Sean, and the fact that he made Charlie feel special, and that he tried to make her see herself through his eyes.

🎧🎧 Narrated by Melissa Moran who did a stellar job, this is one to add to your TBR pile

Charlie

The main character Charlie is such a character that every teenage girl has been her at one point or another. I know I would have loved to be invincible at times and struggled to make and keep real friends.

First Romances make Lifetime Memories

This book was awesome. I know a lot of people can relate to Charlie's character. She worked so hard to not be noticed. Her self-imposed prison is challenged by Shawn, the most popular guy in school. Their relationship is so adorable as well as challenging. I loved the solidity of the story and the fabulous characters. True quality writing and a wonderful story teller. The narrator was awesome as well. She brought life to the story and relayed the individual personalities perfectly. So looking forward to a continuation of Charlie and Shawn. ps The cover picture is beautiful and perfect.

I need part 2!!!

I don't usually pick up YA books, but, since I am a HUGE fan of Krisitie Haigwood, when presented with an opportunity to give this one a go, I did. Wow, am I glad. This author is so good at every genre and this one is not a disappointment. Charlie believes she is invisible because one night changed her life. She became visible because one night changed her life...the night she met Sean. The story is so well written that I just could not put it down and, having listened to the audiobook version of this story, Melissa Moran made it easy to listen to. Her voice is smooth and easy on the ears. Her ebb and flow of the narration and the way she works the characters keeps the attention of the listener.
I am looking for Part 2 of this story!

Love It!

I received this audiobook in return for a fair and honest review. Now that's out of the way...

Becoming Charlie is the first YA book that I've listened to in a long time, and let me tell you it pulls on all the feels. I saw parts of me while in high school in Charlie and she was a really relatable character. I love the friendship of these two characters and I can't wait for part 2.

Now, onto the narration by Melissa Moran. At first I kinda of disliked her narration of both Charlie and Sean, but as I thought about it and continued to listen I came to find the narration to be brilliant! I had to remember that these were High School kids and the narration mirrors the age of the characters.

I'm really looking forward to part 2!

Amazing story that sucks you in from the first line

I absolutely loved this audiobook. It was an amazing story that wasn’t predictable and kept you wanting to know more about Charlie and Sean. The narration was spot on filled with emotion and brought Charlie’s voice to life. I’ll be recommending this to my friends that listen and I can’t wait until the next part comes out.

A great story about your finding first true love!

The narrator was awesome. She sounded just how I pictured Charlie would sound. This story is a great insight into what it's really like to go through high school and fall in love. It also is realistic of what it's like to grow up in today's world. You will find at least one, if not more characters who you can see being you at some point in your life. It brought me back to my adolescence, and the main character Charlie, struggles with what a lot of us do in real life. This is a great read and listen. You want to keep going, just to find out what's going to happen next. I can't wait for the 2nd story to be finished and out. I love Sean, Raven, and Charlie. I'm excited to see what's next for them. This story touched my heart in the best way possible!
