About this listen
Want to be a better boss? Make the most of your talent? Great doesn’t have to be awful.

Written by founder and former CEO Henry Engelhardt, Be a Better Boss is part memoir, part management philosophy, and part practical manual, providing valuable leadership lessons for aspiring managers and existing managers alike.
Be a Better Boss will help any manager in any business to think creatively, make smarter decisions, and manage people better. Admiral Group earns GBP4 billion a year in revenue and profits of GBP500 million. How? In Engelhardt’s words, "When people like what they do, they’ll do it better."

It's obvious that to be a good leader you have to be a good person, but what does it mean to be a good person?
And is a good person the same as a pushover? Does being a good person automatically mean you can get the best out of people?
I own a production company in Cardiff and I know many people who either currently or previously worked at Admiral. I know many businesses that have worked as suppliers with Admiral. Over 10,000 people work at Admiral.
That's a lot of people and not 1 person has said anything bad about the business. I don't know about you, but that's extremely impressive to me. Listening to Henry talk here, it's absolutely no suprise why.
For people leading teams or running companies, I can see why this audiobook is a perfect listen. But it's not just for people looking to lead others, but for people to ensure they live and act with their values in everything they do.
It's not enough to have strong values if you pick and choose when you have them. This isn't just a great listen regarding leadership or being a good person, but finding purpose and improving the world.
Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul.
