What a great story! It has everything, love, hate, mystery, thriller, spice, enemies to lovers... The story had me hooked. I loved the dual point of view, however, I didn't enjoy the male putting on the female voice and the female putting on the male voice, it felt a bit like a child retelling a story and mimicking voices.
Overall I would definitely recommend this book to friends and others, I would just advise them to push through the mimicking voices.

I really wasn't expecting those twists in the story. For a long time best friend to come back and a family member to be so different from what everyone could see. Just wow.

really enjoyed this freebie book, story was really good and the narrators were excellent 👍 🤩

The first half was snooze worthy and I was very nearly dnfing it. I actually listened to first 1/2 at 3,5x speed and didn't miss anything. There was a ton of inner monologue and it was slow and a bit depressing.
From the 60% mark it got interesting and the mystery was actually quite good from then on. The spice was okay, and the romance was cute when they stopped thinner monologue.
The narration was outstanding, they interpreted the characters beautifully.
It was free on ku and, separately audible too.
