Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Be More Pirate written and read by Sam Conniff Allende.

Mischief. Purpose. Power.

Pirates didn't just break the rules, they rewrote them. They didn't just reject society, they reinvented it. Pirates didn't just challenge the status quo, they changed everyfuckingthing. Pirates faced a self-interested establishment, a broken system, industrial-scale disruption and an uncertain future. Sound familiar?

Be More Pirate unveils the innovative strategies of golden age pirates, drawing parallels between the tactics and teachings of legends like Henry Morgan and Blackbeard with modern rebels like Elon Musk, Malala and Banksy.

Featuring takeaway sections and a guide to build you own pirate code 2.0, Be More Pirate will show you how to leave your mark on the 21st century. Whatever your ambitions, ideas and challenges, Be More Pirate will revolutionise the way you live, think and work today - and tomorrow.

All hands Hoy!

In a world of increasing polarisation, uncertainty and anxiety, @samconniff believes the only way out of this is a little less Instagram and a lot more action... preferably of the swashbuckling kind. All hands hoy!

Witty and insightful

Great book, opens up a world of possibilities. But only if you want to!

Surprisingly disappointing and highly overrated.

Didn't find this much of help at all in any way and felt the writer was just repeating himself. I can see how it appeals to those living in a bubble and striving to get out, or even just people trying to live a little more on "the wild side" but honestly, I wouldn't waste your time. Narrated well and written well, just repetitive garbage that all in all teaches you nothing of actual worth and consistently leaves you wondering "where's he going with this..."

Great book and great narration spoilt slightly by

Great book and great narration spoilt slightly by a quieter than normal audible recording meaning I had to play on full volume on headphones and still wasn't quite loud enough to play in street environments or busy trains.

Amazing

Truly inspirational and perfectly read by the author, grabbed my attention from start to end, breaking preconceptions about Pirates while laying the arguments for a more inspiring way to work and organize

Tremendous

Introduced to this by chance and loved bed it so much went for Kindle and paperback editions as well. A simple principle beautifully explored and found myself thinking about parts regularly. Concept of good mischief one that needs to be applied to life in general!

Excellent. After ploughing through the audiobook at a rate of knots I'll be sure to be ordering a copy to add to my office library.
