About this listen

What a fantastic book . Really a cut above. Fantasy gold standard I highly recommend it to all . the descriptive writing and character development is the stuff of dreams.

The narrator was great too. A couple of editing snags but not enough to stop it being an all round 5 star performance.

The book is a fantastic bildrungsroman and it's depiction of faith based magic is great (battlescribe feel more like dnd-esque Paladins) However the great story was let down by clipped audio that meant you often lost the last word in the sentence.

I Enjoyed the narrator's reading voice however his character voices left a little to be desired, particularly any shouts, which to me sounded much like a child pretending to shout while playing pretend.
