A Science Fiction Symphony of Memory, Vengeance, and Liberation Set in a not-too-distant future, Baraarauga – The Awakening is an Afrofuturist tour de force that blurs the line between history and prophecy. As America collapses under the weight of the corrupt “Administration,” a Black geneticist, Dr. Malcolm Marcus–Yezazi, unearths an ancient truth: all life began in Africa, and the descendants of the Original Family carry within them the code to undo centuries of oppression.
Drawing on the spirits of Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey, Malcolm and a global network of scientists, warriors, and children harness a secret formula—Mfuko—and unleash a new generation of the Qoyska, warriors restored to their primordial power. When a fouryearold Warrior Princess speaks one word—“Bavuke!”—millions of Black bodies across America rise, reclaim the streets, and execute poetic justice on the architects of their suffering.
Part speculative thriller, part mythic reckoning, and part generational warning, BaraaRauga – The Awakening asks: What happens when the descendants of the first mother, Ukuphila, decide the world is ready to remember the truth?
