Summary

BRIAR -

I was infatuated with Asher Kelley the moment he came tumbling through my brother’s window five years ago. Even bruised and bloodied, he was the most beautiful boy I'd ever seen. We couldn't ever be together. I was too young, and he was too untouchable. He was too troubled, and I was too naive. But the heart is rebellious, and mine decided it didn’t care about any of those things. As I got older, harmless flirting turned to stolen moments in dark corners. Until one day, he was gone without a trace. Now, three years later, he’s back. Callous and cruel. He’s my brother’s best friend. My parents’ worst nightmare. I should hate him. But like a bad habit, I can’t quit him.

ASHER -

I was drawn to Briar Vale from the first time she looked up at me with stars in her big, blue eyes. She was just a kid, nothing but elbows and knees, but she was the most beautiful creature I'd ever seen. We could never be together. I was too old and she was too off limits. She was too good and I was too fucked up. Eventually, the temptation became too much to resist. I risked everything for a kiss and she betrayed me. Three years have passed and I’m forced to see her again, but now she's all grown up. She’s my best friend’s baby sister. My downfall. I hate her for what she did. But she's always been my drug of choice.

Amazing book!

I loved this book. The characters had enough depth to make it interesting without driving the story overboard. The writing was flawless and well timed and the narration was spot on for both Lexy and Roberto.

Not the best book.

This was an ok book. Not really worth the credit. sweet but it's to much like all the other regular typical love stories I read. I need more than this.

Not Usually one for YA

I enjoyed it, it was angsty full of assumptions that made the plot of our story full of a major plot twist. there's also very hot scenes that are blush worthy.

having never read this author I was unsure of what to expect however was happy and look forward to more, the performance was also perfection our Heroine's potrayal couldn't have been more perfect especially with her being a young adult.

A really good book until the last three chapters.

I loved the beginning of the book, but it seemed unemotional and rushed at the end. Just an okay story.

Is it just me?

Or did the male narrator sound kinda like Jeff Goldblum?

I digress. I enjoyed this one a lot. I appreciated that the main female character had agency and mind of her own. Often times in stories where the dude is older the girl is wide eyed and innocent. Not the case here and it made for a much more interesting story.

Loved this story of Young Love♥♥♥♥♥

Charleigh Rose wrote a fabulous story of young love, miscommunication and second chances. The performances of Lexy Richmond and Roberto Scarlato were perfection and this is one BAD HABIT that you'll want to keep. Extremely well done all around ♥♥♥♥♥

Love that never dies.

This book made me feel like I have never felt before. I felt as if I was having the feelings the characters were at the same time they were having them. The narration was very good the voices were soothing and brought the book to life. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

It was ok

I have some serious mixed feelings about this book. There were things I really like and enjoyed most of the story, but at the same time there were times when the story felt slow and slowly dwindled for me. I liked both Briar and Asher. The circumstances of their love is very complicated because Briar has always been a minor with Asher being five years older than her and Briar being the little sister of his best friend. Yet, the connection they share is strong and Briar's feelings for him have been strong and unwavering. She always protects Asher when people think he's trash or is nothing but a bad seed. She was always there for him when he needed someone. Asher is troubled without a doubt. He's holding a grudge against Briar that's built for three years, but even still he can't help how much he wants her and knowing that he shouldn't. I loved their undeniable attraction despite how wrong it was.

I also really enjoyed the narration. Lexy and Roberto were really good and enjoyed listening to them narrate this book.

At the same time as I'm reading about how Briar feels for Asher sometimes it was hard to really feel that love and emotion. There were times when the story kinda dragged in some areas for me.

Bad Habit was an ok book for the most part and will be a really good read for most. I do like Charleigh Rose's writing. This one grabbed my interest, it just couldn't completely keep my interest. I will probably read the next book in the series though because I do like all the other characters in this book.

Good listen

I think the thing that I struggle with is the fact that she is 17. I am. it a prude and I get it, but for me it made me cringe a bit. Loved the story, loved the characters, will be reading the next book.
