what a gripping story. Backlash has, di far, been one of 4 of my all time LLP stories. Gritty, gruesome, but with some very funny lines throughout. An absolute must read. Bravo 👏

answer is pronounced awnser. vowels a, o, u and combinatioms of them pronouced aww or o as in small sounding like smole
r not pronounced making listening difficult. board sounds like bawwd doors like dawws etc. o sounds like u in words such as involved and dolls and folded extra ch obvious in words ending in ch or age.
the english language can be confusing.

BRILLIANT narration

This offering from Audible is another excellent book in the La Plante Anna Travis series, and as always, this actor performs the characters excellently. However, Langton is still a boorish, bullying bore. I may be in the minority, but I can’t stand him, and I’m glad Anna finally stood up to him.

This is a good story but is a bit long winded and drawn out.
I did find Langdon very annoying as he kept involving himself and interfering in the case.

Kristin Atherton does a good job with the narration.
