To anyone wanting to listen, you MUST listen to The Poor Relation series in order. Marion Chesney is a master story- teller and her yarns are fun and her characters so tangibly real! - She has a great ability to knit people along and into the next book which I really have enjoyed!

I liked all the books and i was so pleased there was a final ending for them all a proper happy ever after
Davina Porter is the best she plays all the parts very well it was because she was narrating that i purchased the books

I did not enjoy this quite as much as the other stories but I wanted to listen to it in order to find out how the Poor Relations story finished. Great performance by Davina Porter.

I enjoyed The Poor Relation series very much. All the pomp and ceremony of it’s time. Not my usual listen but I’m so glad i took a chance on it. I’m a bit sad now it’s finished. M.C Beaton without any murders, was a delight! Read beautifully by Davina Porter, all 6 books! Thank you
