Jess has always dreamed of being a mom. Now that her sweet baby boy is here, it's everything she ever dreamed of. Until one day when she wakes up from a nap and Toby is missing. Not only is he missing- but so are all traces of him.

Her husband Luke tries to convince her that there was no baby, one never existed. But a mother always knows- and Jess knows Luke is hiding something about Toby. She's desperate to get her son back, and will stop at nothing to achieve that. When the truth comes tumbling down on her, she has a life changing decision to make. Will she do what she has to do to get Toby back?

It's a gripping short story full of twists and the narrator has done a great job of portraying Jess' anxiety, confusion and frustrations, in a way that the listener feels these emotions alongside her. A compelling voice to match the tense feel of the writing

Great performance of a psychological thriller

The story started gently and kept me guessing about how it was going to go - it’s a really interesting concept and by the end I’d cried more than once for the motherhood emotions at play.

Rebecca Cutler’s narration was beautiful - feminine, maternal, and the naturally gentle tone somehow made the spooky bits even spookier. Her character voices (e.g. Hans) were excellent too. Can’t wait to listen to more by this narrator.

Crept up on me and affected me deeply

its delicate subject matter was approached almost indirectly which was actually really lovely but the standout for me was the narrator...superb.

Sensitive writing beautifully narrated
