Summary

'He's not mine, is he?'

That's the question I fear the most. You see, I have a secret. My son is not fathered by my boyfriend but by one of the most famous rock stars that ever lived. And he doesn't even know it.

Onetime celebrity personal assistant to wild boy of rock Johnny Jefferson, Meg Stiles is now settled and living in the south of France with her doting boyfriend, Christian, and their son, Barney. But they're living a lie - a lie that will turn their lives upside down and inside out because as Barney reaches his first birthday, Meg can no longer deny that her son is growing to look more and more like his rock star father every day and less and less like Christian, and sooner or later the world is going to realise....

The One We Fell in Love With was selected for the Zoella Book Club, and Paige Toon's novels have been published across the world.

Confused

Nice link back to One Perfect Summer, but I'm sure Bess had a daughter in Johnny Be Good 😕

Great, relaxing read

Love Paige Toon books. Enjoyable, relaxing stories. You really get a good sense of the characters she creates and the lives they live. Great writer and storyteller. Narration was also excellent , perfect voice for this story. Thanks for another good audio book!

brilliant

this was by far the best audio book I've listened to. It was different from the usual stories I listen to. Had a great story line, great narrator.

Slow and boring

Didn’t enjoy the narration/kept skipping chapters as I was bored after 10 mins
The storyline was the same old!!!!… sorry but it was a waste of money…

Okay but not great

I have listened to both the books in this series and I think the female lead character is weak and it made me cringe hearing her! The story was quite good but Meg just infuriated me as the books went on..

Also felt the last few chapters and epilogue raced through storylines that have previously taken half a book? I find that a lot with books like this. Disappointed as had heard rave reviews about Paige Toon..

A slow burn

I quite enjoyed the first book in the Johnny Jefferson series so thought I’d give this a try. It felt overly long with not a great deal of plot, but was generally entertaining enough to keep me listening. It irritated me how many times the author refers back to events that happened in the first book, and the reader’s inability to pronounce the word ‘rifling’, but it’s worth listening to if you liked the first book in the series in order to hear how the story resolves itself.

Long winded

First Johnny be good book was good, this felt long winded and drawn out without a lot happening.

Having said that I did enjoy it, but felt like more action needed!

I recommend this and Johnny be good!

I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t stop listening. I was pleased with the ending!

I recommend you listen to Johnny be good first to really enjoy the whole story of Meg’s life!
