Evan wants to build a thingy.A buzzer. A whizzer. A hum-down-the-hallway, roll-through-the-air, no-two-alike kind of thingy. But inventing is not as easy as Evan hoped. His tape runs out. His bubble gum dries hard. His thingy wobbles, crashes, and falls apart.Just when Evan wonders if he is really a thingy maker at all, a wise neighbor teaches him one powerful word: prototype.Evans Thingy is a warm, rhyming picture book about creativity, frustration, resilience, and the courage to try again. Perfect for young inventors, builders, dreamers, and any child learning that the first try does not have to be the final one.A read-aloud story for children ages 48 about failing, learning, and discovering that every great idea starts a little wobbly.©2026 G.
