From battling his way into the NHL to playing with the Minnesota Wild, New Jersey Devils and San Jose Sharks, Kurtis made it clear that nothing was going to stop him from reaching his dream. He fought for every opportunity and left everything out there.

Unfortunately, a hand injury ultimately brought his playing career to an end. But that wasn’t the end of his story.

Kurtis opens up about life after hockey, the tough times he faced in retirement, and how he’s turning those experiences into something positive by helping other athletes and people who need support.

Through Locker Room Talk, he’s using what he’s learned to help others navigate life, find direction and realize they’re not alone.
