Dragnet presents “Big Girl,” episode 36 of the NBC radio series, originally broadcast February 9, 1950. Jack Webb stars as Sgt. Joe Friday, joined by Barton Yarborough as Sgt. Ben Romero.

Friday and Romero investigate a series of violent robberies targeting male motorists. Witnesses describe a tall blonde hitchhiker, but conflicting accounts complicate the detectives’ search through 1950 Los Angeles. The episode was sponsored by Fatima cigarettes.

Dragnet presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
