Aoife is a haunting prison-set supernatural romance and psychological thriller set during Christmas inside a Victorian high-security prison in the English countryside.

The story follows Caden Lee Miall, a young man sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his sister, Aoife—a crime he insists he did not commit. Emotionally broken and consumed by grief, Caden enters a bleak Category A prison where his case has already become infamous among inmates, officers, and the media.

Watching over him on night shifts is Axton Bowe, an experienced prison officer shaped by decades inside the Prison Service. Dry-witted, observant, and quietly compassionate, Axton judges inmates by behaviour rather than headlines. As Christmas approaches and he works long, isolated night shifts alone on the wing, strange events begin to unfold around him.

Unbeknownst to both men, Aoife herself still remains.

Unable to move on after her violent death, Aoife exists between worlds, watching over her imprisoned brother while desperately trying to make herself known. Her presence seeps into the prison through flickering lights, shifting mist, impossible coincidences, old songs, the scent of expensive perfume, and moments that feel suspended between dream and reality.

As Axton experiences increasingly disturbing supernatural events, he begins questioning both his sanity and the official version of Aoife’s death. At the same time, an emotional connection slowly forms between him and the unseen presence reaching toward him through the darkness.
