Sometimes we treat the temple like a finish line—something we have to be perfectly prepared for, completely understand, or finally become "ready" to reach. But the temple was never meant to be the end goal. It is an invitation to come closer to God.
There can be so much pressure surrounding the temple: to feel ready, to understand everything, or to have the experience we think we're supposed to have. But some of the most beautiful parts of the temple are found in returning, learning, and allowing our understanding to deepen over time. The Lord doesn't expect us to walk through the doors already knowing everything. He invites us to come as we are, make promises with Him, and then spend a lifetime discovering just how much those promises can change us.
The temple isn't about having everything figured out—it's about choosing a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Our covenants aren't a finish line, they are the beginning of becoming. A promise that as we continue to choose Him, He will continue to make more of us than we could ever make of ourselves.
