A classic Agatha Christie adventure-mystery filled with twists and suspense. A fearless heroine whose curiosity leads her into extraordinary danger. A chance encounter. A mysterious death. A journey across oceans into the heart of Africa. When adventurous Anne Beddingfeld witnesses a man fall to his death in a London Underground station, she discovers a cryptic scrap of paper that leads her into a dangerous web of murder, stolen diamonds, secret identities, and international intrigue.

Refusing to let the trail go cold, Anne follows the clues aboard a luxury ocean liner bound for South Africa, where every new acquaintance could be friend—or foe. Among glamorous passengers, shadowy criminals, and legendary adventurers, Anne finds herself hunted by a ruthless mastermind known only as "The Man in the Brown Suit". Armed with little more than her courage, quick wit, and an insatiable curiosity, she must solve the mystery before she becomes the next victim.

Blending classic detective fiction with romance, exotic travel, and high adventure, The Man in the Brown Suit is one of Agatha Christie's most entertaining early novels.

I really enjoyed this book, which is different from Agatha Christie's usual style of detective stories. The narrator speaks very well and at a good pace. Very good all round.

Thoroughly enjoyable!

I enjoyed this story, particularly the young girl making her way in the world while being clever and naive. It made me laugh out loud but was also exciting

Funny and a good story

Not an AC story I know so was looking forward to hearing it. I was listening to the story but not hearing it due to the narrators voice. Characters definition was lost as they all sounded the same! Struggled so much with this: started it several times, even slowed the speed but sadly had to give up.

The narrators voice is 'gritty'.

I struggled with the reader's delivery, it wasn't natural enough and I found the dialogues clunky and unconvincing. Reading audio books is a demanding skill

Lively plot but for me the fusing of a detective story with a romance didn't work well.

Really enjoyed listening to this, a British book narrated by a proper British voice. I felt like I was in Rhodesia at times, it was so descriptive and well read.

Lovely narration
