As some who has a faith I found the story interesting on many levels.
Tranquility is a city built on the belief of the new god and that peace is the ultimate goal. No violence is allowed and all potential weapons are tired with magic bows to stop them being easily used.
Jildarin and Rylana with others have to find a way to please the old gods that have been woken up.
It brings much thought to how religion and faith have history and how all can live peacefully along side one another.
Not what I was expecting to read but loved how thought provking it was.
There is still a very slow burn romance happening through book two and now I'm invested to read book 3.
Suprised at how though provking this is.
