The narrators are exceptional but I need to give a huge, huge shout out to Aiden Snow. He performs Ryker to perfection.
There is a particular scene that had me choked up when reading the book for the first time (iykyk) ...but listening to it...IT has crippled me, We're talking tears in my garden!!
I cannot wait for you all to hear what a masterpiece this really is ...

After Ryker had been rejected when he asked Delaney for a date previously. She suddenly becomes part of his family when her sister marries into the family. Ryker hopes he can get a second chance.
After an altercation with an NFL player from a rival team, who had a beef with Ryker earlier on the playing field. Delaney ends up in a distressed state, needing emergency treatment in the hospital. Ryker states he's her husband, so he can go with her. The assailant is in a coma; Ryker needs the help of his cousin Olivia.
When interviewed, one of the detectives seems to be sure Delaney wasn't the victim she said she was, and Ryker was the guilty party.
The family come together behind the pair and arranges a big wedding and a social media campaign to show that Ryker was protecting his fiancée against a serious assault.
The banter between the family and the girls is sassy, funny, and I want to be part of their group.
After their marriage, they become real and not just a convenience. Delaney has another encounter with the detective; on her own, she calls for help, and Hendrick comes over, and they rush to tell Ryker and Olivia what was said. Ryker is furious, and Olivia says she will research the detective to see why he has a problem with Delaney and Ryker.
Things come to a head when the detective appears in Delaney's apartment while she is collecting some pans for the new home she shares with Ryker. Tori, Delaney's pot-bellied pig, causes the detective to kick out, and in the process Delaney falls and bangs her head.
Ryker, having a drink with Ryker, spots the detective leaving Delaney's and then flames in the window. He rushes in to find Delaney and finds her barely alive. When she finally wakes, she finds out the detective worked for her father, whom she recently put in jail.
Delaney learns ASL to be able to communicate with her husband. Ryker's disability is treated with empathy and I love this.
Although this is a standalone, I would recommend reading the series, and they all intertwine.
I have listened to this twice and love it more each time I listen.
