Agatha Christie
An Audible Original multi-cast adaptation of THE MURDER AT THE VICARAGE, Agatha Christie's classic mystery that introduces beloved amateur detective Miss Marple, voiced by Toni Collette.
In the rural idyll of St Mary Mead, a murder has taken place. The despised Major Protheroe is found dead in the vicarage study by Reverend Leonard Clement. Though the Major had many enemies, the violence of his death shocks the sleepy village and starts the tongues of the local gossips wagging. The first suspects are the Major's beautiful young wife, Anne, and her purported lover, handsome artist Lawrence Redding. But St Mary Mead is full of secrets, and the real killer could be anyone. Was it Protheroe's daughter, Lettice, set to inherit a fortune? Then there's Dr Stone, an archaeologist whose story isn't adding up, and Mrs Lestrange, a woman no one seems to know anything about. Even the Vicar's own wife could be a suspect. Miss Marple is the only person perceptive enough to see through the façade of polite society — and once she turns her attention to someone, their true nature is fully exposed .
Toni Collette (Hereditary) leads an all-star cast as Agatha Christie's famous detective, with Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) as the Vicar. Written by BAFTA-nominated writer and comedian Vicki Pepperdine, it also stars Calam Lynch, Eliot Salt, Jasmine Jobson, Honor Swinton-Byrne, Katy Wix, Lolly Adefope, Leo Reich, Billy Postlethwaite, Hugh Dennis, Alex Jennings, Kathryn Drysdale, Kurt Egyiawan, La Voix, Meera Syal and Vicki Pepperdine.
The production features an original score by Wasia Project.
Available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

The phrase "Times they are a changing" is used ,30 plus years ahead of its time.
"Serial killer", a description first commonly used in the 70s,is used.
Bff (not used as now ,but a silly bit of wordplay)
and finally the caution that the police used only came into effect in 1984 ,50 plus years later.
They didn't ruin the book for me,it's hard to ruin Christie, but it did sour it a tad.
Well performed,a few errors in the adaptation
