This is the second book in The Deilonium Trilogy, and this one was just as great.
The story follows Charlie Bear Claw as he becomes the target of assassins and powerful enemies, including the rogue robot Lance. The chase keeps the story moving and creates plenty of tension.
I enjoyed the unusual mix of humans, robots, dark humor, and big questions about technology and humanity.

Awesome listen that gets you hooked in the first few seconds of turning it on. It’s the second book in a really good sci-fi series. I enjoyed this one about as much as I did listening to the first book a while back. It’s very heavy in robots and technology so if you don’t like that, this may not be the listen for you. But even though it’s very sci-fi and dystopian, there are a lot of thriller components to the book and a lot end of the world, mission to save the world from destruction elements as well that add a lot of flavor to the book.

Robots and Renegades is a great continuation of The Deilonium Trilogy and kept me just as invested in the story. I enjoyed the mix of action, futuristic elements, unexpected twists, and character development as the adventure continues to unfold. The pacing kept things moving, and there were enough new developments to make this installment feel like more than just a bridge to the final book. Michael Rahhal’s narration adds to the experience with an engaging delivery that makes the audiobook easy to get lost in. Definitely looking forward to seeing how the trilogy wraps up!
