Easy 5 ⭐'s for me for a combination of reasons - I've been waiting for Rhys' story after he appeared in the Wolves Of Crescent Creek series, I was so excited about this book and it did not disappoint, then on audiobook it's just amazing, a whole cast of my favourite narrators just added to me loving this book, (for anyone else that will pick an audiobook just because of who's narrating it's Vanessa Moyen, Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke, Shane East, Connor Crais, Anthony Palmini and James Cassidy - they are all on my favourites list, but Connor Crais and as Rhys - just yes!) and then I really enjoyed the story too, Vampires, Witches, a whole load of history, reluctant mates, kind of second chance romance, enemies to ???, bits that made me laugh and bits that made me sad, and that ending, not got a clue what's going on there but by listening on audiobook it might give more of a clue of who it involves because of who's narrating the last few lines, my only disappointment is that the next book isn't out yet and I really hope Google is right and the next one will be out and on audiobook straight away in February.

About the audio:
When I saw the announcement of the cast I immediately pre-ordered the audiobook, it has so many of my favorites and each and every one of them is amazing. James my favorite because he always adds humor to his characters and I loved how he voiced the different side characters. Vanessa was amazing as Rae and how she voiced her different emotions.
There is nobody that does a tortured mmc like Connor and a growl like Jason, we did not get a lot of Shane in this one but I am looking forward to more of his accent in the next books.
Samantha was just as amazing in all the characters she voices, whether it was the mature voice of Olympia or the young voices, she nailed them all, as usual

About the story:
Vampires, magic and fated mates, this might be my new favorite Tessa Hale and I neeeeeeed more!

I love it when they are fated mates but one or in this case most of the mates are not happy with the bond at first but their attraction is too strong to deny.
This book has it all, reluctant but overprotective anyway, insta love, best friends to lovers and forbidden love!
