From the critically acclaimed author of When We Were Silent comes a dark, addictive thriller that will plunge you into Dublin's underground rave scene, perfect for fans of Tana French, Erin Kelly and Lisa Jewell.

“Annie couldn’t have known that this was the last time they would all be together, the last time anything would ever be the same again.”

When Sean Salinger vanished without trace after a rave in the Dublin mountains in 2001, his friends never wanted to talk about that night again.

Twenty-two years later, Annie Fagan is the only one still asking questions. And when a grisly discovery reframes Sean’s disappearance as murder, she’s pulled back into the circle she thought she’d left behind for good. Back to a world of strobing lights, pulse-pounding basslines and the alluring chaos of the dancefloor.

But digging up the past means exposing who her friends really are – and what they did to keep their secrets buried.

Because someone at that party knows what happened to Sean.

Someone who has killed before.

Someone who’ll kill again . . .

Critic reviews

Entertaining and suspenseful, The Party in the Woods is a gripping mystery that hooks you from the first page. The book alternates between past and present to weave together a riveting story of privilege, friendship, and the weight of guilt. Not to be missed!
I absolutely adored Fiona's debut novel, so I knew this was going to be something special. The Party in the Woods is utterly addictive, with twists that made me gasp. This book is as sexy and atmospheric as the raves it portrays!
A dangerously addictive thriller, so hard to look away from I almost missed my train.
The Party in Woods is a beguiling whodunnit with a side order of music and rave culture. I was gripped.
This was such a gripping, atmospheric thriller with characters I was rooting for from the beginning. I loved the dual timeline, and I loved that there was a thread of romance running through the book too. Fiona has woven a masterful plot, where you struggle to trust anyone, and I changed my mind about who the killer was so many times . . . I loved everything about it, and Fiona has become a must-read author after two books that I have loved and been completely hooked by.
