We know the story well, having read it several times already, but the narration has really brought the story to life. It’s interesting hearing the voices of the characters from someone else’s perspective! Can’t wait for the next book to be make into an audiobook too! “Earwig Go Again!!!”

What a fun sweet listen for young people! My kids love the book (it has loads of gorgeous illustrations) so thought we'd try the audiobook. Great narration for these brilliant adventure stories. Love that the protagonists are local heros (bugs) and the chapters all end with interesting nature facts.

Heart warming, fun, educational

Having read The Little Adventures of Erig the Earwig, and delighted in Lucy Fleming’s wonderful illustrations, I wondered whether an audio version would do full justice to Andy Evans’ beautiful storytelling. Happily, Iain Batchelor cleverly gives each insect a distinctive voice, bringing every character fully to life. The pace of his narration ensures that the listener is wholly engaged in each adventure.
And the solution to not missing out on Lucy’s illustrations is to buy the book and the audio version!
Lastly, although aimed at 5-8-year-olds, I’d challenge any one not to enjoy these stories, which are delightfully whimsical as well as educational.

A truly wonderful listening experience

We’re big fans of the Erig books so were really excited to hear that book one is now an audiobook! Couldn’t wait to listen and we weren’t disappointed! The narrator has done a fantastic job of bringing to life all the amazing characters in the book. We especially loved Zip, the stick insects, the whirligig beetles and just the general fun and energy that bursts from the stories. Congrats and can’t wait for the next one please :)
