How to Love a Dismissive Without Hot-and-Cold Cycles, Over-Giving, or Anxiety - So You Feel Safe and Confident Again

Do you feel like you’re "too much" in a relationship that gives you "too little"?

If you’ve always wanted to feel safe and secure in your relationship but find yourself trapped in a loop of overthinking, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion, then keep reading...

Are you sick and tired of the "hot-and-cold" cycles where closeness is immediately followed by distance and silence? Have you tried countless ways to "fix" the connection, only to have your partner withdraw further? Do you finally want to say goodbye to the fear of abandonment and discover a way to feel confident again—regardless of how your partner responds?

If so, then this book is for you.

Imagine how you’ll feel once you can stay emotionally anchored in yourself, and how your life could change when you no longer walk on eggshells.

Even if you’ve been told you’re "too sensitive" or "needy" your whole life, you can build real emotional security from the inside out.

Being new to listening to books, I have to say that audiobooks have changed my life. I love being able to do my chores and cook while listening. This book in particular I got originally for my sister who is very much both sides when in a relationship. When things get complicated or hard she very much retreats. She also has that super anxious feeling when the guy she is talking to doesn’t answer right away. Even though I got this for her I listened to it and thought that some of the things could be used in other kinds of different relationships. I really liked that the book didn’t put blame on one person. I feel like that can take some of the pressure away from just yourself. I really liked that it gave more of an explanation from both sides of a situation. I also really liked that it promoted more of a respect and love yourself.

Honestly, I brought this up expecting another generic self-help audio that would just tell me to break up or stop being so sensitive. Instead, it actually broke down the subconscious mechanics behind why I spin out when someone pulls away.

Hearing the narrator walk through those quiet moments of self-soothing gave me concrete tools I could use immediately. It felt less like a lecture and more like sitting down with a solid therapist who actually understands relationship anxiety.

Way less preachy than I expected

I liked how this audiobook built its ideas in a steady order instead of throwing a pile of relationship advice at me. It began with the familiar hot-and-cold pattern, then moved into why anxious reactions grow and what I can change on my side.

The pacing made it easy to follow during walks and errands. The narrator kept the tone calm and personal, especially in the sections about boundaries and taking space without using silence as a punishment. A few points felt repeated, but the repetition also helped the main lessons stick.
